Private Pilot Ground
School
Included in Ground School:
Overview
Ground School is an economical way to prepare for the Private Pilot Written and Oral Exams. We cover topics including aerodynamics, communication procedures, aircraft systems, airspace, FAA regulations, navigation, aircraft performance and aeronautical decision-making.
Ground school is not required for a
Pivate Pilot's License. A student can study at home or study
one-on-one with a CFI, and then, if competent, the student can
recieve a sign-off from the instructor to take the written exam.
However, ground school can elevate your learning process setting
dedicated time aside for your book-based lessons while saving money
in a group classroom enviroment.
Meeting
Times
Ground school meets Saturdays and Sundays from 5 PM - 7 PM for about 6 weeks. We understand that students may miss a class due to scheduling problems, so make-up lessons can be arranged on an as-needed basis.
Pricing
Private Pilot Ground School is $375 per applicant. A $175 deposit is due upon signing up for the class in order to hold your spot and cover the cost of supplies. The remainder is due the first day of class.
